Because after all, big high paid executives, with tons of resources and brainpower must result in brilliant outcomes, right?

Don’t ever make the silly assumption that big companies are smarter than you. They’re just people (albeit sometimes brilliant people). And people are fallible, susceptible to bias, and sometimes stupid (especially when bureaucracy, money, and group-think are involved).

Sometimes it takes one person, an outsider, to see that the emperor’s not actually wearing any clothes.
