It’s natural to look at large corporations (especially the best ones) and assume the decisions they make are ingenious…even if your first reaction is one of disbelief and disapproval.
Because after all, big high paid executives, with tons of resources and brainpower must result in brilliant outcomes, right?
Don’t ever make the silly assumption that big companies are smarter than you. They’re just people (albeit sometimes brilliant people). And people are fallible, susceptible to bias, and sometimes stupid (especially when bureaucracy, money, and group-think are involved).
Sometimes it takes one person, an outsider, to see that the emperor’s not actually wearing any clothes.
